The Evolution of Dauntless Muse

Well.. Hey (lol) Its been awhile.. and there have been so many changes since 2015, when my last blog was posted.  Before I begin this new journey, I figured we should play a game of catch up. Four years seems like such a small amount of time but there have been so many significant changes in my life that have gotten me to this point, writing for the first time out of pure enjoyment since 21 years old.

Where we left off:
The last time I posted on Dauntless Muse (DM) I was a bored college student looking for something to occupy all of my spare time in a small city. During all of the changes that came along with moving to a new state, I found myself looking to inspire people with my sense of fashion. To know me is to know that I have always been into shopping (something that seems like a hereditary trait in my family). I often receive questions on my fashion, the when, where’s and how’s of my style and more importantly finding these things at reasonable prices.

Creating DM was a place where I could relate to similar girls (or guys) like myself, in college looking for ways to express themselves through looks while ballin’ on a budget.

The in between:
Since then there have been so many moving pieces. I’ve built lifelong friendships, graduated from undergrad, moved back home to South Florida, started graduate school, began my career in Marketing – with a million highs and lows in between. I pointed all of this out to say that in the last four years I’ve changed in too many ways to count, as I am sure we all have.

Where we’re going:
DM was initially birthed to share my fashion and life style tips. However, I let life get in the way of doing something I have a passion for and that’s creating feel good content. Now we’re here, I am just shy of my 25th birthday with a list of big ideas for this platform. Although life is still happening (very quickly) and I have my hands in several projects I figured it was time to decompress and continue this dauntless journey with all of you! My vision for Dauntless Muse is to connect with my following not only through fashion and lifestyle tips but also life lessons, college advice/stories, and my journey through corporate America. This time I plan to bring some friends along from different backgrounds and experiences to tell their stories and perspectives as well!

Let’s restart this journey of Dauntless Muse and continue to inspire each other!

XO,

Jas~

Beauty -- Everyday Makeup

For awhile I've been getting questions on my everyday makeup products, so here it is! These are the products I use in my daily makeup look. I have other products I use for special occasions or when I want to jazz things up, but I always start with these basics.

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB 8-in-1 Skin Perfector (deep) |  This BB cream is amazing because it helps protect your skin while also providing coverage. Super lightweight and is my go to for a day of errands.

L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Makeup (cappacino N8) | Great full coverage foundation w/ a natural finish!

Sonia Kashuk Large Foundation Brush (no. 114) | This is my go to foundation brush simply because it helps my foundation apply evenly.

The Original BeautyBlender | Why didn't someone think of this amazing sponge sooner? Use this gem damp and it'll remove any excess foundation. No no to cake face!

Stilla Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner (jet black) | Probably the easiest eyeliner you will ever use! The felt tip makes the application crisp and simple and because it's waterproof you don't have to worry about smudging.

bareMinerals Original Foundation Powder (medium deep) | This is a great powder to add a smooth top layer to the top of your makeup.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer (amande) | A great concealer to mask dark circles and dark spots from scarring.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer (cafe) | Love this concealer because it can be used as a slight highlight and I've never experienced any creasing.

Anastasia Beverly Hills 'Dipbrow Pomade' (chocolate) & NYX Automatic Eyebrow Pencil (Dark Brown)  | Perfect combo to achieve those perfect brows! Both products have a wide variety of colors to choose from as well.

Nars Dual-Intensity Blush (fervor) | The perfect colors that blend well with any make up look & stays on all day.

Lorac PRO Mascara (black) | No clumps over here! Super easy to build on for extra length and volume.

C.O. Bigelow Magenta Mint Mentha Lip Tint | Sometimes a lipstick is really overwhelming when going for a natural look. I use this gloss because it's moisturizing and adds a slight tint of color.

Hopefully this helps when looking for quality basic make up products. I live by these, so I promise they are great!

Style -- Denim Love.

Very excited to be breaking out my spring pieces! As I've mentioned before in my Spring Trends post, denim is a major factor for this season. I'm loving that mixing different washes of denim is a thing! It's always fun choosing different shades of blue and putting them together to make an amazing outfit. This is such an easy outfit to put together plus you looked super chic.
